120.5 hours, 37 days of work, masts, paint, center board

Today we spent 7 hours. We painted the interior, bored the holes for the centerboard, cut out and bought hardware for the centerboard hinge, and attached masts sections together. We ran into a problem, the mast sections are very tight, to the point that we spent a couple of hours pounding the two sections together with a sledge hammer, still have an hour or so to go. We got a little smarter on the second mast, we sanded down the inserted mast a little making it possible to slide it together must easier. We were able to stand it on end, pound it on a wood board, and it slid together o.k. Tomorrow we will work on the first mast sections again, hard grunt work, pounding them together with a sledge hammer. We also were able to put on the first coat of paint on the interior. I purchased latex outside paint, matched the color to my new hatches, and painted interior areas. Tomorrow we will complete the mast, install the bench tops, and hopefully install the hatches. I am awaiting my sails, still need to order hardware, but we are finally seeing an end. I believe we will be on target for a May sailing.
