24 hours into the project... around August 8th

24 hours scattered over 6 different days and it was beginning to look a little like a boat. The seams were taped, copper wire tied the pieces together... things were looking good.

But when it came time to unfold the boat, Loy and I had more than we could handle. The boat is 17 feet long, seams are taped and glued to tie the various pieces together, copper wire holds the edges together... a lot of pressure was placed on all of these joints when we tried to unfold the boat and reposition it so we could do further work. Seams and wires broke and we realized we needed a couple more hands to manage unfolding and picking up the boat. Just a little bit discouraged at this point and was wondering if my family and friends were correct, maybe I am off my rocker.
We decided to build a cradle for the boat, and to ask a couple friends to add some support and lifting aid and scheduled another day to rewire, re-tape, and re-glue.
